Instructor: Danielle Ruel

Danielle Ruel has been practicing yoga since 1996, and teaching people to bend, stretch, and breathe in Thunder Bay since 2008. She is a true believer that yoga is for everybody and every body, and her roster of classes reflects this: she’s taught moms-to-be, babies, kids, professional athletic teams, marginalized populations including female inmates, and everything in between.

She began teaching part-time in 2008, and in 2013 she left the corporate world to pursue this passion full-time. Sharing with others the transformative power of yoga brings her incredible joy and gratitude. She enjoys teaching different styles including hatha, yin, vinyasa, bikram and power yoga. She was voted Best Yoga Instructor in 2016 in The Walleye magazine, and received third place in 2017. Danielle is currently taking a pause from teaching to devote her time to her toddler, Zen Xuan.
