For Stephanie DePiero, as soon as she could walk she could dance! As a teenager, Stephanie trained in jazz, tap, ballet, and hip-hop. After graduating high school she continued her training through intensives and workshops in Minneapolis, New York, and Los Angeles, soon landing herself a new home in Toronto, Ontario.

She performed with a variety of entertainment companies and at several live music festivals, as well as working for several seasons with the MLB Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club as an in-house performer during all at home games. During this time, Steph was also a dance instructor at MBS Studios, City Dance Corps, and at several performing arts high schools around the GTA.

Stephanie now lives in Thunder Bay, Ontario, working full time as a business owner, dancer, instructor and choreographer. Her own experiences fueled her to lead the Army of Sass Thunder Bay team! This outlet of dance spoke to Stephanie’s passion and values, providing an outlet for all genders to come together, gain confidence and be a part of a community of dancers with the goal of inspiring others.

Steph was also the director of The Dance Room, which offered studio rentals for private training, special workshops, and industry coaching from dance professionals who were invested in the growth and development of dancers.

Stephanie believes in the potential of a thriving entertainment scene in Thunder Bay and continues to dedicate her time to supporting other local performing artists, festivals, and is very excited to be teaching at The Bodymind Centre starting this fall!
